Thighs brined and smoked

  1. Over the week, I decided to take a crack at brining chicken... had a packet of chicken thighs and used Debi's brining recipe from her web site. No photo though, sorry...(it was chicken thighs resting in cloudy liquid anyway[​IMG])

    Well, smoked with some hickory for a couple hours and came out juicy, tasty and crispy skin. The wife loved it... Thanks Debi for your informative site.

    That caught me completely off guard, it looks delicious !!! Not that I did not expect it from you, but that looks great.....

    instantly thinking of smoked chicken nachos...... or that w/ yellow rice....
     
  4. Oh!!! Forgot to mention that I used a cajun rub. Sweet and Heat! Great with a cold cerveza!

    What temp did you smoke those at? Look pretty crispy and yummy![​IMG]
     
  7. Tried to keep it as hot as possible but the wind was playin havoc with my temps... stayed around 230-250 and kept them close to the firebox.
