Glad to be joining this forum! Just a bit about me, I'm a Kansas native and major Wichita State University fan, hence the username. I've truly enjoyed my time learning more about the meat smoking process and the art to becoming a respectable pitmaster.

I currently use two different smokers, an older Redstone SFB Smoker and a new Lousiana Grills Country Smoker CS680. I love the convenience of the Lousiana Grill and it does give a great smoke flavor; however, my basic Redstone smoker gives an even greater more intense smoke flavor that I just don't get with my CS680. I have continued to use both smokers nearly every time I smoke. I use the Redstone for the first 1-2 hours and then move everything over to the CS680 to continue cooking everything at a consistent temperature for the duration of the cooking.

Anyway, enough about me and my smokers. I look forward to learning more from all of you! Thanks in advance for the tips and insight.

SmokinUrShoxOff,
Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it then smoked it. Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with their opinion on the subject.

Just in case you were wondering how this site works.
Here is a link to a FAQ for the site.
