    Glad I discovered this forum.  Just got a Masterbuilt vertical gas smoker for Christmas and am looking forward my first smoke tomorrow.  Family coming and I'm going to do a pork loin.  Good news is it's family so they will be forgiving if I mess it up.

    Been doing some reading and all I can say is: so much good information I almost feel overwhelmed.

  2. Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
    About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
    and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
    We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
    Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
    because their are so many different ways to make great Q...

    Welcome to SMF Bassmaster.  Congrats on the new smoker.  There are lots of pork loin recipes and ideas in the Pork section so your smoke should be a great success.  If you have a meat thermometer that will help a lot.  You can pick up an inexpensive digital food probe for less than $10 at the grocery store.
