Newbie here from Greenwood SC

  1. Hi everyone.  I'm Bobby and I'm new to the forum.  I'm not totally green to smoking, I've smoked bacon and pork in the past.  I've been making sausage for years but have never smoked any so I figured it was time to put on my big boy pants and get into the arena with you all.  I've been cooking for 40 years, taught in a cooking school, make cheese, bread, brew beer & cider so I'm pretty comfortable when it comes to culinary things.

    Bobbymac29649, welcome to SMF!  We're glad you're here, bringing all those years of cooking expertise with you.  You may be new to smoking, but all that knowledge you possess translates well to adding smoky flavor to meat.  After all, a smoker, in any form, is merely a smoky oven.

    Welcome, Bobby. How's the emerald city? I know you will be an asset to this site with all your experience. There are some really great folks here who are always eager to share their ideas, tips, recipes or anything else you need. All you have to do is ask.
