Can any one tell me what this unit is?
It appears to be a New Braunfels just before Charbroil took them over.
I got the assembly book for it and it just has some numbers for the model.
I have begun the Mods already,, raised the fire box wood grate (I plan on making it a stick burner), Welded all of the legs in place, the stack and the fire box, added a sealing strip for the fire box door. Next I will install a tuning plate, refinish the tray shelf in front, and paint it.
I plan on running at least 1 brisket through this coming weekend to dial it in and running it on the 13th of June for an outting at Heron Lake for some friends. If it works the way we expect it to It will be the primary smoker for us at the Smokin' 4th contest in Durango in July.
