New ECB

    My buddy just gave me an ECB that I plan on using this weekend. Shold I be putting Wood chucks directly on the coals or wood chips in a smoke box on the coals? Also, any advise on maintaining proper temps? Thanks

    I use chunks right on top of, or even mixed in with the charcoal.

    I've done these mods to my ecb in one form or another....I didn't necessarily follow the original mods to a "T".....but, they really do help a bunch with keeping an even temp in the ecb.
