Anybody out there ever heard of using some lilac branches (no leaves of course) or wood from lilac bushes?? I was told this is great for Salmon and ribs, but I am a little reluctant to try it.

There have been a few post about using Lilac wood for fish.

And the best info i can find is it's good for seafood but may get lost on other meats.

Type in lilac wood for smokingf in the search box and you can read some of the post.
