When camping last time I doctored up some store bought brats before putting them on the fire.
Would work great with home make brats.

I slit them open, added slivers of jalapeno peppers then wrapped them in bacon.

Caramelized some sliced onions in butter...and put on a marinaded loin...

Added some twangy kraut to the caramelized onions....

    Toasted some buns.....

The jalapeno stuffed, bacon wrapped brat topped with caramelized onions and twangy kraut....and a ribbon of brown spicy mustard.

I forgot about the loin, I was more interested in having a brat and cold beer.

Thanks for checking out my brat!

Darn Jeanie, I was thinking how good it all was [IMG] and then I saw that bottle of Coors...

You know better than that, It's Rednecks, White Socks & Blue Ribbon Beer!!![IMG]

There's no place that I'd rather be than right here
With my red necks, white socks and blue ribbon beer
The barmaid is mad 'cause some guy made a pass
The juke box is playin' there stands the glass
And the cigarette smoke kind-a hangs in the air
Red-necks, white socks and blue rib-bon beer
    A cow-boy is cussin' the pin-ball ma-chine
A drunk at the bar is get-tin' noisy and mean
And, some guy on the phone says ill be home soon dear
Red-necks white socks and blue ribbon beer
    CHORUS:
No we don't fit in with that white collar crowd
We're a little too rowdy and a little too loud
There's no place that I'd rather be than right here
With my red-necks white socks and blue ribbon beer
The semis are passing on the highway outside
The four thirty crowd is about to arrive
The sun's go-in' down and we'll all soon be here
Rednecks, white socks and blue ribbon beer
    REPEAT CHORUS
There's no place that I'd rather be than right here
With my red-necks, white socks and blue ribbon beer

Jeanie you know you're killing me with your qview, just when I think you've hit a plateau you come up with something better. Japs inside of dogs, what a great idea! [IMG]

How you don't have a show on the food network is beyond my comprehension.

Jeanie, that is the banquet of my eyes. You'd kill them at Dodger stadium, not to mention you could retire in one season! Lady, thanks for sharing some great stuff.

The way you cook on a Tractor Rim over a campfire makes me wonder what kind of grub You turn out in a Real Kitchen? I think we should have Bobby Flay challenge you to a Throwdown...

What does everyone else think, he only takes on the best of the best...[IMG]

Jeanie you are killing me softly with your food. But really yet another fabulous idea you have with that hotdog. The stores that I work for used to carry jalapeno hotdogs and they quit selling them because I liked them. Like everything else you have cooked look and I'm sure tasted so very good. Then to top it off you did it on a camp site fire pit. I thought I was good grilling a pork loin and it came out tastey and it wasn't burned slap up.[IMG]

Another beautiful post full of outstanding food, Jeanie. What better this football season than those brats you just threw down? Excellent stuff there, and you are tight on target with that thin ribbon of brown mustard on top of that kiss of kraut!

    Wow.

Now that's a hotdog worth biting into.

Thanks for sharing more of your excellence, Jeanie! [IMG]

    Oh, and of course....points! Sheesh!
