  4. Hello group..... smoking meats up here in the Northeast (Scranton Wilkes-Barre) area.   Getting ready to do a Turkey for Thanksgiving.   

     any suggestions?

    What type of smoker?

    I spatched it and smoke it hot.

     after reading ALOT of articles, I have decided to brine.   Was thinking of using a mix of cherry and hickory.

    I would run it as high as it will go fir temp. ( 275 )

    Good choice on wood.
