Hello everyone,

I just signed-up and wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking about for a few weeks and decided to join. It seems there is a tremendous amount of information to be learned from everyone and I hope to be able to share what very limited knowledge and experience I have.

By trade I am a paramedic / firefighter for the past 14 years. I am married with 4 kids (12, 11, 9 and 3).. We go camping frequently in our RV and have for many years talked about getting into competition bbq.

That day has arrived! We are ordering a Lang 84D this week and are going to dive in! We've been 'practicing' our bbq on friends and family for several years on a Lg BGE and we think we're on the right track. We know we're no where close to being experts, but at least the bbq we're cranking out hasn't sent anyone to the ER!

So that's where we're at. I hope everyone is willing to be patient, as I am sure I'll have lots of questions!

Thanks in advance everyone- have a great weekend!!

~Mike
