Greetins from the Emerald City

  1. Hello all!

    I'm coming at you from Eugene, Oregon in the great Pacific Northwest, and I'm really glad to be here.

    I just purchased a Southern Pride DH-65 to move from an occasional hobby smoker to a barbecue take-out owner, yeah, that's me.  Moving up from a charcoal fired red bullet to an electric and stainless pro cooker is a shock to the system in every possible way, wow.

    I've been a member here for many months, but I haven't really been active, but now I will, as I move from commerical rubs and sauces to home recipes, and learn the ins and outs of professional level smoking.  Wow.  I'm grateful for all the help,advice and and guidance I can get.  Owning and operating a take-out is where I'm headed,so thanks for the help in living it.

    Emerald City?  Don't tell the people who live in Seattle that....They are also called the Emerald City.... but I don't care cuz I'm 90 miles north of them and they get snippy about the silliest things.  Welcome to the active role.  Since you've been here awhile, you pretty much have a handle on the site.  Good luck in your venture.  When you get up and running, let us know your business name, so when we're on the road we can hit your joint for bit of food and a howdy.
