I moved about 3 years ago and my new place doesn't have a nice place for the smokers, so I finally decided to rig up my Smokette in my garage. I had not used it in over 3 years and was in need of a good scrubbing, all cleaned and loaded up.

On flour tortilla with some provolone and Cattlemans Gold.

Will take some for the guys at work Monday and Bag and freeze the rest.

Hope to start making more of the stuff I used to make all the time.

    thanks for looking

Looks great, nice & juicy, but where's the slaw?

  6. Right?

hot sammich, cold slaw, I thought it was a system!

Great looking shoulder, there! I'm glad you've never found a cure for the smoker's sickness!

    Keep 'em coming!

I am lucky in, there is an excellent Q place not far from me, he uses Southern Pride units, and yes I don't get the satisfaction of doing myself or imparting certain flavors I like, it is still excellent.

stuff. I have cheated and made faux Q with butts cooked slowly in roaster oven with the same seasoning and some of the dreaded liquid smoke, and while good it is far from the real thing.

I think next will be either wings or turkey thighs.

  12. lol...I did the garage thing for a while...it was great!  Nothing more manly than walking into a garage to work on the car, and it smelling like BBQ!
