do you need to brine a turkey you will deep fry

  1. I have not seen this addressed yet and wanted to know. I am going to deep fry one and oven bake another (for a friend to take home). I was only going to brine the oven baked one, but can brine them both if you can deep fry with a brined turkey.

Hey Lisa, I haven't brined and deep fried, but injecting and deep fry works great, [IMG] As long as the bird is dry, what would it hurt?

  6. Just make sure there is no extra moisture left before you fry it. I just inject mine personally. As long as the oil is at 350, it will put a fast fry on it and trap the juices inside.

Good question Lisa... I've been wondering that myself. I usually just inject mine, but it sounds like brining is also an option. Thanks y'all!
