Chicken legs X 2!

Big pack of legs on sale and I like to cook them up so I have them for lunches. Normally I cook them
All the same way, but I decided to do half one way and the other half a different way.

First batch I made an Asian inspired marinade.

1 1/2 cups soy
3/4 cup Brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
4 tablespoon siracha
1 1/2 teaspoons ginger
4 cloves of garlic minced
Ground black pepper

Mix that all up. Place chicken in ziplock. Dump in the marinade, reserve a 1/4 cup marinade for glazing.

Second batch was oven fried. I saved out two drummies and did those smoker fried. Should've done them all that way, but I wanted some grease! Which I used schmaltz. Nothing like frying chicken in chicken fat!

Oh yeah forgot to mention that I used that Traeger thing on this smoke. Once again not impressed with the smoke flavor!
 
Brown rice works!!! Pot-mac salad is da bomb...
We have two mix plate restaurants here in Central Oregon. In my opinion neither of them have good potato mac. Sueoka's Market n Koloa Kauai has a Snack Shack that serves a good plate and three and the pot-mac is pretty tasty.

Thanks Willie! Yeah we go through a bottle pretty fast as both my wife and I like it! For lunch yesterday I went to my Favorite Pho shop here. I put a tad much Siracha in my Pho Tia Chin. I was sweating by the end! The jalapenos I put in there may have contributed to the heat factor too!
