Butts hitting the smoke

  1. Good morning folks, it's bright and early here in CT. Had a long night of taking the new puppy in and out all night, but finally the time has arrived. Gonna get my fire going and will start posting qview pics soon. Doing two boston butts today, one about 9lbs the other about 8. Smoking with lump charcoal and hickory chunks on a chargriller with side fire box. Stay tuned for some mouth watering pics!

  10. Well the smoke turned out fantastic. But my brand new puppy got ahold of my mini usb cable that i use to upload my photos so I wont be able to post my finished pics until I grab another one.

    Pulled the butts off at about 200 and let them sit in a cooler for an hour. They were delicious, i pulled out the bone with very little effort and the whole thing basically pulled itself lol.

    This was my third time making butts, will try something new next time perhaps, but then again that sweet sweet pork is so good!
