A few weeks ago I tried my first pulled pork, using the instructions in Meowey's sticky in this forum. It turned out great, so yesterday I did another one and took some pics for documentation. (My first attempt at sharing some Q-view.) Just for good measure, I threw in a couple beer-can chickens as well. Here are the pics:

Rubbed and bagged the night before:

Your pork looks fine and yummO too. But BUt BUT the chicken went straightnto the freezer. Willis whats's wrong with that picture. Atleast try some and you might not be trowing it into the freezer nextime.

Great color on the PP! That's a very nice smoke you did there

You being in NJ, did you use apple wood?
I used applewood chips, yes. My main fuel was Kingsford Competition briquettes. Not optimum, I know, and not my usual choice, but it's what I happen to have on hand at the moment.

It's only my second pulled pork, but I've been using this smoker for about four years now and I've gotten the basic operation down pretty well.

Oh, I've tried some. The beer-can chickens are a staple. We have them for dinner all the time, and I always throw in one or two if I've got room in the chamber during a smoke. We also just always keep a couple in the freezer to use for chicken chili, chicken corn chowder, chicken and dumplings, whatever.... Trust me, they'll be put to good use.

OMG, I thought I could actually smell it.  Must be some kind of psychological trigger mechanism... or Pavlov was correct!
