My 30" Master built dies and i'm looking for another electric smoker that can reach at least 300degrees in order to crisp skin of a turkey. I'm through with having to remove bird and place into pre heated grill just to crisp skin. Does any one know if there any eletric smokers that can reach those temp with out killing my pocket? I tried doing google searches but had no luck.
Are their any?

Why not replace the element, and controller in your 30"? You can go too big, it has already been tried and too much heat causes metal fatigue, but you should be able to get the temp up to 300-325º safely. I would think the 800 watt elements currently in the new 30" would do it, the limiting factor is the control. A new PID controller and element + heavier wire should be about $120, that is a lot less than getting a new smoker.

The smoker I have that can reach 350-400 degrees is the Masterbuilt Electric Analogue.
It's on this page: http://www.masterbuilt.com/pm-smokers.html
Hmmmm, if I owned a broke MES would I want to pay for a analogue that is not insulated? Or pay for the parts to make my MES achieve 325º and work better than the original MES with a PID controller? Not trying to knock the Analogue, it just isn't insulated.
