1500 Watt Dbl-Door 3-grate Brinkmann w/external grease pan

This appears to be a good alternative to a Bradley or MES, especially if cost is an issue.

Here's the downloadable owners manual...assembly and drawings of the internals begin @ page 12:

The Brinkmann product page listing this smoker:

Enjoy!

Wonder how well it holds temps.  I like the lower door feature.  Change out the chips without letting all the heat and smoke out of the top of the unit.

Not a bad price either.  Only three racks, but for the average family it should be fine if it works well.

Depending on the thermostat, it shouldn't have real bad temp swings with a water pan. The 1500 watt element should pack a good punch for cooler weather, too.

The thing to remember is, there are virtually no commercially built smokers under the $1000 range that won't need at least minor mods and a bit of tweeking to get fairly decent performance.

Yea, for the money spent, this looks like a really good grab for someone just getting started, or as a back-up rig.
