Well, it's not really a joke, but it was funny. Checking out pics of some Scouts camping (I'm a Boy Scout leader, doing youth leadership training this weekend and smoking some treats for them) and there was one of them making breakfast. Bacon, eggs, french toast, etc. Gobs of bacon...  The caption below the photo:

And another important lesson for life is that it's impossible to have too much bacon.  When it doubt, throw some more on.

This weekend will be the first time in a while that I've been able to get the smoker going. Taking the ECB to the training. Gobs of overtime, on call, etc. Harvest will be going for a while, but things should settle down in a few weeks so I can get back to doing some good food again. Then winter... Which brings up another thought... I'll put that in a different thread.
