My Nose is Burning from all the Horshradish!!!

Looks Awesome Bear!

What did you use to catch all the juice?

Great looking brisket, nothing like horseradish with brisket. I was gonna say that's one tall mater plant.

Wow, I missed a bunch of you!

Thanks to all the nice comments about my Brisket!

meateater, That 11' tall mater plant is just a shorty (12' now). I had one a couple years ago that was 17' high (cherry tomato). I got well over 3,000 little maters from that one plant!

Gotta keep 'em coming for all my BLTs.

Great looking smoke Bear!     Both Krogers and Sam's carry full packers for 1.98 here and 3.99 to 4.99 for trimmed flat's.  2 bucks a pound to trim a brisket seems a bit steep to me too.

I know what you mean about having the BLT supply.  We grow mater's for basically two pourposes.  I make smoked "sundried" tomato in the MES for pasta dishes in the winter, and for BLT's during the growing season.  Although this year we have done more PLT's than anything else.  Bit of Dudestrami with some home made garlic mayo with the maters and lettuce makes for a fine meal.

Yup, my son got a full packer at Wally World last week for $1.98. I won't be paying over $4 any time soon again.

I gotta ease up on this stuff:

Dinners lately:

Fri-two BLTs

Sat-stuffed burger

Sun-stuffed burger

Tonight-two BLTs

Tomorrow-Pulled Pork

Wed-BLTs

Thanks Quint, and same to you!

Now this Brisket was just a flat.

If you get a full packer, you'll have to decide whether you're going to remove the point from the flat before or after you smoke it.

Then you should do a search for a good post of it done the way you choose.

Great looking brisket & q-view. What was in the au jus besides the pan drippings?
Thanks Al,

I should have mentioned that!

If you look at the beginning, you'll see the mix I made for spraying (8 oz of apple juice & 4 ounces of Worcestershire).

When I foil it at 165˚, I add a few ounces of that mix to the package, so the Au Jus in that bowl is that, mixed with any other meat juices that joined it during that foiled time.

Looks, mmmmmmm bear. Ever try an "Apple Jack" spritz?  Makes great burnt ends too. AJ & some of Mr Motlow's finest, and worcestireshire sauce. I can smell the meat a cookin. And you can NEVER get enough horseradish!!!

Killer.   After seeing this my day is going to be real mixed up.  I need some brisket.  Nice job!!!!

Great looking Brisket Bear. I am looking for that package to arrive any day now.

Thanks ALL !

Gary, You're mailman must have eaten it---I sent it to you back in August!

Nice color and looked juicy!!!!!! Q what type of smoker is that and does it work well?

I used my old MES 30 for this Brisket Smoke.

It works great, but became too small for me (I think it shrunk!).

I now use the new MES 40 with window & remote control, which in my book is the greatest electric smoker you can buy for under $1,000.

The cost was $399 at Cabela's, but they had a sale ($349) a month later, and credited me with the $50 difference.

Thanks,

Bear
