I found a good deal on a 20 by 36 deluxe Klose smoker with a 1/2' plate firebox. Decided that I wanted something for the back yard while my competition pit is being built. The question I have for you guys is since this Klose pit was used by someone of un known skills, should I strip it down to the metal and re season it, or just give it a good rinsing??
Re-seasoning a Klose?

Got an email back from Dave Klose himself. Sent me the users manual and recomendations. The directions that they give out with the smoker is to spray down with "simple green" let soak a few minutes, then rinse well. Re season with peanut or olive oil.
