First Butt on the new smoker! W/ Qview

I have a 6.5-7 pounder resting in the fridge all rubbed down.

Plan is to fire up the smoker about 4 am and have the meat on by 5.  It will be injected with some spiced rum and tropical liquor and a little rub.  Smoking it over some kingsford and oak.

I will post some pics in the morning while I'm waiting for some temps to level off.

Stay tuned!!

Here is the butt after rubbed and before it's wrapped for it's nap.

The next one is right when it hits the smoker

This is the Minion Method.  I will have to build a larger basket that sits a bit higher.  I have to lift it up to empty the ash tray.

After this was taken I switched to the Royal Oak lump charcoal that I found at Wally world.  This works soooo much better than regualar charcoal.

Here is the TBS

Here is the butt after about 6 hrs.

This is what a few mods will do for you, and the right fuel!

I will update more after I make some of Dutch's wicked beans

LOL meateater...my thoughts exactly!

Dang, jeep, I hope nothing else breaks like those pictures links!  The way I do my pictures is save them from the SD card to my hard drive, resize them to maybe 560 pixels and then just select the Insert Image icon above and then select the choose file option, locate on the hard drive individually and hit ok.  Hope you're having a good smoke...looking forward to some Qview!

That does look great, nice bark! If you're running windows you can right click on the picture in say the explorer view and select "open with," then select paint and resize the pictures a little to somewhere in the 560 pixel range.  Not a problem, just a tip on reducing size.  Thanks for the Qview!
