Howdy all!

I wanted a sammie last night, actually I wanted it for breakfast yesterday morning, so I got started on a steak and cheese sammie on homemade cuban bread with homemade mayo, a mater and radishes from the garden, smoked provolone. First I had to start my cuban bread. I love this bread because it uses lard! Yessureeeeee! This is why my thighs look like tree stumps, because I cook with this stuff. But do I care? Noooooooo. Not one little bit because I am rather fond of trees and their stumps. So, here's the bread:

Then I roasted a head of garlic, I love garlic. I love it alot. Sometimes I hold it gently in my arms, and skip through a field of daisies in slow motion, with my perfect hair tussling in the wind.

I just wanted you to have the most bizarre visual that you have ever had in your life. I'm good like that.

It gets worse, but until then:

Then I got this monster ready:

I gave it a lovely massage of ghee, that yummy roasted garlic, sea salt, freshly crushed peppercorns, and pot seeds. Yep, you heard me. Weed. Ghanja. Giggle Weed. The Herb. Mary Jane. Jive Sticks. It actually has a wonderful nutty flavor, kinda like a cross between almonds and walnuts. Don't worry, I ain't smokin' none of them and it's legal. It's also quite impressively healthy, it has 2000 mgs. of Omega 3 and a whopping 11 grams of protein! I don't lie.

Well sometimes I lie, once, when I was a kid, I lied to my mom and told her I couldn't go to school because I was burning up with a fever. I took the thermometer in the bathroom and stuck it under the hot water tap. She looked at it and said, "Well, looks like you are going to die today, since you have a fever of 130. Soooo, you should probably go to school and tell all your friends good-bye." Cruel, cruel woman. Anyway, see:

Also in the above picture is a wonderful little item called fennel pollen. It is soooo good. Kinda pricey, but well worth it. You should try it sometimes.

Then I put it on the Traeger at 325F until the IT reached 143F.

Then I assembled it and ate it. And I am going to eat another one today, maybe two.

I hope you weren't standing to close to the smoker while it was smoking or you at least didn't inhale

I'm not sure if I'm starting to read your posts for the comedic value with the story, or the wonderful, mouth-watering pictures. Probably both!! Great job, Cheryl. I will also take a sammie, please!

Yes first off I want a couple of them sammies and maybe some of them seeds too. Now with my new found love of gardenng and my getting up in those years thing. Then you mix that with a great job I did on some way back in the 70's I could have a new found way of making money. Oh OH ok back to the food ya yaaaaa fffoooooodddd. You sure do crack me up the cheryl and cooking skills are off the chart too. Now I know you didn't inhale during the smoking of this product.

Running thur the weeds with the wind in your hair or was it locks.........LOL

I was cracking up when I read this, then had to pause to get the visual of your cradling the garlic & skipping through a daisy field.  But the real, "Things that make you go hmmmmm" came when you said you cooked the seeds.  I wondered, "What action took place that you had to test cook seeds?".  LMAO.......Your sandwich is beautiful as is your spirit.  Keep it coming gurl.......keep it coming.

Oh, & BTW, who doesn't like thigh sized tree stumps?  Show me that guy & I will show you a guy who has no muscle control.
