Have you checked out your local the gas company, to convert from propane to natural gas is just changing the orifice and using a natural gas regulator like on your grill, the gas company should be able to help you with this.

Home Depot has a natural gas conversion kit, I was looking at them Sunday.  Lowes has them too: http://www.lowes.com/SearchCatalogDisplay?storeId=10151&langId=-1&catalogId=10051&N=0&newSearch=true&Ntt=natural+gas+conversion&x=13&y=1

I tried Home Depot site for a link but their site is momentarily down right now (probably new ads for Father's Day or something).

I have a close friend who retired from the gas company, and he has said that changing the orifice is a simple task.
