The it seemed to me like the spares had a better pork flavor and definately more meat. my guests seemed to agree. and it shocked us all since locally babybacks are king. But im also from michigan so good slow cooked bbq is very hard to find. what are you liking better about em?

Nice racks!

I used to smoke spares all the time but when I gave bb's a try, I was amazed at the difference in meat per bone the bb's had vs. the spares. It's possible I got a juicy package of ribs, however the hubby also liked them better so ...

same as you said more meat and it seems to be a better flavor than the bb;s but i do want to try them again just to see, its been awhile since ive made them.

Those look awesome..Great job, As for me I like the BB better but like spares as well. I think the BBs have more meat on them....More tender too with shorter cook time..good luck

I have always liked spares over baby backs. Now I had to try again so I picked up some more BB and they were good but I still like the "Untrimmed" spares ove rthe baby backs. Now for the smoke time they are about the same with me liking the adjusted smoke time an all. 3-1.5-.75
