[url=http://www.zweigles.com/]link[/url]

Does anyone know what code to use to rename a link? What use to work for me doesn't now.

I was trying to rename it but it kept coming back to SMF.  http://www.zweigles.com/  Actually works but I don't think this is what you are asking.  Maybe you can't rename it.

Anthony, are you trrying to rename the thread? I don't know what you're trying to do. Only admins/mods can change the name of a thread (title).

No Rich.  I was trying to replace the "URL" with the word "Link", as I think Dan is trying to attempt.  But when I did that, I kept coming back to SMF.  I am not sure that a link to a URL can be renamed.  If it can, I can't do it.  Was just trying to help him out.  Then I checked the FAQ & did not find any info on it.  I hope the activity does not show that I am trying to rename this thread.  I am not a hijacker.  Please.  Please.  Please forgive me.  (smile.)  Just trying to replicate his issue.  That is the Analyst portion of me working overtime.  I apologize if there is / was any confusion.

I never thought it was a hijack. Regular members cannot edit or use source on another members reply/thread. It's a function reserved for admims/mods.

Thanks Caveman, you had the right idea on what I was looking for.

 The [url] [/url] code works everywhere else I post, but not here. Well for me anyways

Dang I just wrote a long drawn out post on how to do it but it said I could reply to this thread.

I got logged out some how

Maybe I can write it simplier this time

Type the word you want the link to be, Like SMF then hilight that word, go to the link button in the tool bar above(alittle right of middle) then  in the space for the URL copy and paste from your  address bar at the top of your screen then hit ok. it worked once for me

SMF

WOO HOO make that twice, Thanks to Bmudd for the advise while we were in chat earlier.
