Oh how fun! I'm like a kid at Christmas when I get a "surprise" package! Here's what I have to offer:

Homemade mozzarella cheese

Shelled pecans from my orchard that I so ever lovinging shelled

Homemade loaf of my yummo sourdough bread

A local yummy bbq sauce named Abram's

Garlic that I grew in my purdy little garden

Everything except the bbq sauce would have to be mailed priority, but that's not a problem.

And what do you want in exchange??? If I can get what you want I would really like to exchange with you there Cheryl. I can offer different things from rubs and sauces to some different wood chips and chunks. I can go caught you some fish but I don't know how they travel.Heck I could send you an old bandera I have laying around too.

Hi MB!

I'm easy to please, but I have plenty of pecan and hickory chunks, don't use alot of mesquite, but other than that just surprise me! What on my list above would you like? Or a little of each?

I also make some awesome maple candied pecans if you're into sweets, they are the best snack ever!

I would love to do an exchange too, but I have no idea of anything we have here that you can not get everywhere except seafood with does not travel well

Hey Squirrel, Do you cook Gumbo. If so I could trade you some File' made by Lionel Key who was featured on Alton Browns Feasting on Asphalt show. And if there is anything else from the Bayou State you can think of let me know!!

Here's a link for the mozzarella recipe:

I don't eat alot of seafood (allergic to shrimp!) some fish I like though, so I have never made Gumbo. I have some File powder but not sure if it's the same thing Bayou.

I would love to try some great rubs and sauces! I like to blacken steaks and fish too.

OK Squirrel - I will throw together some kind of package.  You like surprises, so it will remain that until you receive it.  Just pm me an address and I will get it sent.  Once you receive, you can exchange anything you want - return the surprise.  Sound good?

John

I'm excited John! Thanks! I've come up with a few more goodies that I forgot about.

Sorry it tookj me so long to get back with you so. I can send you some local rubs that I have sent to others here and they seemed to like it. Now I have sent some hot sauces to Italy too. Now the woods I get here are in the bags of chips and chunks but the place I get them from have a boat load of different woods. I can probably get some different woods that you maybe haven't used yet have some nice pear chunks. I'll go look tues and get back with you. I would maybe like some fresh mozzeralla cheeses sounds awesome and maybe some garlic I have never had some home grown then maybe some sauces are the best cause it ends up with some that I would never be able to ever try again. Theses things are like Christmas in the summer too. There are great. Just send me a PM with your address and i'll send you mine in return.

I would gladly trade a bottle of my homemade raspberry wine for some cheese and pecans. This wine was made in the fall of 2008 and is not yet bottled. I bottle it from the carboy as needed. As of now it is dry but can be sweetened here or to taste when you get it. if you want to trade reply here then pm an address and I will do the same. Thanks.  P.S. The wine is very strong. I made it 17%  (34 proof) and my wife calls it Vick's. It can be dilluted with ginger ale or sprite if you like it lighter.

That sounds great guys, I'll PM you both (Alreadry sent infor to John) with my address, this is like Christmas in the summer!

I think I better get these three exchanges with John, Mark and Dal done before comitting to any more, FYI

looking forward to it!

I just wanted to say thanks to Matt for a beautiful bottle of wine! I haven't opened it yet because it's so pretty!

It has been a while since any entries on here, but I would be most interested in exchanging things.  I am not sure if anyone has a wish list but if there are those out there that are interested please post a list and I will see what I can come up with.  I make my own rubs with a secret ingrediant.  I think it is amazing.  Just let me know.  Thanks, Steve

I would be interested in an exchange.  I grow my own peppers and have been for several years so I can offer various HOT and SUPER HOT pepper powders (example smoked trinidad scorpion powder).  I also have bottles of pure concentrates (a small perserved bottle of concentrated pepper mash used to make hot sauce 1 bottle of concentrate will make 20+ bottles of hot sauce).  I also have a variaty of local made sauces that I enjoy.

Thanks for the reply!  I do not do well with hot or too spicy things, I like them but my old tummy does not!  If you are interested in my secret rubs let me know, and I will send you some.  Let me know your prefferences and I can customize for your tastes.  Perhaps just the basic rub since you have the heat yourself.  I prefer a slightly sweet in mine, but being diabetic I have to watch that.  Thanks again Steve
