Hi all.

Okay, I checked with the board mods, and they didn't have a problem with the premise of my posting. First and foremost, all parties have to be 21 or over, and live in a state where alcohol/BEER shipping is not prohibited. You know who you are, I'm sure, but just in case, here's a list of non-prohibition shipping states (mostly covers wine, but I'm guessing the same applies to the typically-lower alcohol by volume [ABV] of beer) ...

California
Colorado
District Of Columbia
Florida
Idaho
Illinois
Iowa
Louisiana
Michigan
Minnesota
Missouri
Nebraska
Nevada
New Hampshire
New Mexico
New York
North Carolina
North Dakota
Ohio
Oregon
South Carolina
Texas
Vermont
Virginia
Washington
West Virginia
Wisconsin
Wyoming

I really want to try Yuengling beer. I know, some people say it's not all that, but I'm in it for the experience. So please, commentary about how average it is not necessary here. I enjoy me some cheap, regional beers-- so sue me!

I figure a six pack of either Yuengling Premium or Traditional lager would work, and in exchange, I'll send a six pack of Firestone Double Barrel Ale ( http://www.firestonewalker.com/index.php?c=our_pale_ales ), which is an amazingly excellent ale brewed near me. No money is directly exchanged, just beer for beer. We each cover the outbound shipping costs ourselves, which brings me to the shipping ...

Various stuff on the web. Some of it seems to be accurate and sensible, some of it sketchy. At any rate, USPS is not an option. Uncle Sam is okay with taxing the bejesus out of it, but not in shipping it. Only FedEx or UPS, and you basically have to tell them you're shipping vinegar. Seems that while the interstate booze sales thing is okay from retailer to individual, they are hesitant to do the person-to-person transaction. That's fine, I have no problem fudging a manifest when it's to get around a dopey rule.

If you'd like to discuss in detail by private message, that's fine. I know I'm new here, but can provide a eBay feedback that shows I'm not a cheat. And to be fair to me, please be able to vouch the same.

And for those of you who also enjoy a cheapy beer, 7-11 has come out with their own brew (done by a macro craft brewer in LaCrosse, Wisconsin) called Game Time. Supposed to be rolled out through most of the states soon. Had some last night. It was better than ... no beer. Actually, the light was pretty good, the ice version sorta harsh.

Carry on.

For sure, one of the best. Forget lager, horse p. Go for Lord Chesterfield Ale or Black&Tan. Still family owned and can/will rival almost any craft brew. My 1/50 of a buck.

Can is good also...Take it from someone from PA
Must be when sitting on the beach all day it taste like crap??

I'll send you some Yuelining for some of yours. PM me with you flavor or flavors of choice. I have to be honest though, when I moved to PA all I herd was you have to try some Lager and it's horse piss imo. I would rather drink Buttwiper or PBR the Black and Tan aint to bad

One thing that seems to work around here is to go into a rather large liquor store and ask for a manager or owner and simply ask for them to order it.  Youll more than likely have to pay up front and it will take 3 weeks, but they almost always get it for you and then have it in stock for a month while they figure out if it sells well.  Ive always ordered by the case or 2 as well.

Might be worth a shot.

Cheers.

I sent a local spiced vodka to a fellow member once......it was good for everyone.  So I say why limit to just beer, lets try hard booze as well.....

I have a local place here called downslope and they make a vodka with hatch chilli's

Now if anyone out West can come up with some Island 808 vodka, I might get interested.

Afternoon....   That's too bad...  Injecting such a hot political topic in good beer....    That could lose him followers.....

.................Good thing we don't allow politics on this forum.................

It could tick a lot of really good members that smoke great food....

That should be subtle enough......     Dave
