Well, it's done. Smoked and in the fridge. Here are pics of the two top rounds. Tasty.

After cure. Going to the fridge to dry overnight.

You can't paste the IMG code directly into your post any more for your qview. Click on the insert image button and copy and paste the "direct link" address (instead of the IMG address like before) into the image URL tab and your pictures will show up in your post. Just a little different than the old page.

Hey macbillybob,

The color looks real good in the picture on the cutting board.

Did you slice it all real thin? How do you like it?

Wasn't hard at all was it?

Now what you gotta do, just to see if I know what I'm talking about:

Take two slices of nice fresh white bread, and put Miracle Whip on them (or Mayo if you like it better).

Put a few thin slices of that Dried Beef and a slice of American Cheese in & close it up.

Don't add anything else---That's it.

Let me know what you think,

You are right, already tried the sandwich. These were easy, just take a while (curing and smoking) I almost forgot about them the other night. They were perfect.

Well so much for that batch. My buddies all took some and want more. Going to double up this next smoke.

Great stuff. Sliced thin to win.

LOL-----You gotta eat that stuff in sammies. Eating it plain will make it be gone to soon !!!!!!!

Glad you & your buddies liked it. Now go out & get a whole cow!

Also the bigger parts of a deer are perfect for making this stuff----Do it exactly the same way.
