I just bought a CG super pro w/ sfb and haven't put it together yet, but I am so excited that I had to tell someone. My friends and family don't care, but I know you guys do.

Im hopefully going to put it together friday because its been raining quite a bit lately, hopefully by then I'll have a cover for it as well as the material needed for the Mods I plan to do. QVIEW to come this weekend.

BTW, how many of you guys use your smokin pro as a regular grill (in the main chamber) also?

Congrats on the new rig! Yep, not only do we care and understand your addiction -- we enable it! There is no patch, there is no gum -- you're stuck with this one!

Don't know how you're gonna stand waiting until Fri. That would drive me nuts. I love projects like that and have to work them until I'm done (family accuses me of being obsessive about these things).

I hardly ever use the SFB as a grill unless it just happens that I want a burger, etc. while smoking the real meal(s). Works just fine with a nice bed of coals going. Usually it the Weber kettle or --gasp! -- the propane grill.

Its going to kill me to wait also! I might end up building it in my garage.

Cant you use the main chamber for a charcoal grill also? I was going to do some grilling in the main chamber for memorial day (of course after I finish smoking), I was wondering if that type of heat will cause it to warp or burn through, even though the box says it can handle it.

Congrats on the new addition,

If it was me, there is no way I would make it until Friday. I would probably have it in the living room getting it ready to go. This is the exact reason we keep old sheets and blankets around.

So we can work on smokers and Harley's in the front room!!!!
