I went to the butcher shop, and got a pound of fresh sausage. I stuffed it with fried potatoes, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, eggs, and cheese. I then wrapped it in hickory smoked bacon. The only thing I could say is wow. Im glad I joined this site, I have a new favorite meal to make in my smoker. It was funny my sister saw me pull it out of the smoker, and she said Im not going to eat that. I said just try it. Well she fell in love, and requested more. The only thing I did was put it in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes to crisp the bacon up. Thanks everyone for all the information here at smf.

Congrats on the first

I never thought about gettting the sausage fresh from the butcher. Interesting. Some people have to finish in the broiler to crispen the bacon so no big deal there. Glad you brought you sister over to the dark side with you. Now you can get her to do you favors for fattie treats. Muaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

I use the thin sliced bacon on my fattie's and Abt's for it usually crisp up pretty good too. Now your fattie is really good. One thing thou if you think that the fattie is your new fav meal just wait and try some of the other recipes you will get off of here. You will have a new fav food group too.
