Stopping in to introduce myself and compliment all on a great resource. I'm Aaron, 33 years old and I have a lot to learn about smoking. I had a brinkman vertical electric for a few years and never was impressed. My wife got me a Brinkman vertical gasser for christmas last year. I understand its not the cadillac of smokers but its what I've got (for now). Last weekend I had my first wife-approved smoke on the new smoker thanks to this site. I did a rack of spare ribs that turned out great. She likes them falling off the bone so I used the 3-3 method.

A little about me. I spend a lot of time outdoors, fishing is my real preference. I also heat my home with wood therefore have a variety of smoking fuel to choose from at any given time. I have CAD (chainsaw acquisition disorder) so if you've got a saw sitting around thinking about selling you may have just found your buyer. Anyway, thanks in advance for your advise, this site has been a great help already.

Welcome from a south central Illinoisan. Glad to have you aboard, I have a couple friends currently living in Morton, but don't make it up that way very often.
