If any of you plan to be in or around Winston-Salem, NC in the middle of June come on by the Ribfest at the Dixie Classic Fairgrounds. Its a growing festival, with competition teams from all over the US.

For the first time this year, they are offering an amateur division called "King of the Grill". Its a really nice setup. Costs $10 and they give you 4 racks of ribs to smoke to be judged. There are prizes associated with it as well. As of right now, there are only 3 teams signed up to compete, which doesnt meet the quota. If you live in the southeast, it would be a great chance to hang out with other smokers.

I'm in no way associated with this event, but really want the amateur competition to prosper, and it needs more teams. Below are the links, and if you have any other questions let me know and I can either answer them or put you in contact with someone who can.
