new Apple wood

I got some apple wood trimmings. Do I have to season it? Or is green wood ok to smoke with? I think i know to season it but thought I would ask.

depends on how large the chips are but you defentely want it to dry our some for I would think 3 months. you could wrap it up in plastic and it may dry out faster
 
I've never tried green wood , maybe you should try it and let us know what ya think.
In my electric I use real small pieces so 1/4"-1/2" slices should be good after a couple weeks in the sun. there's alot of variables, trial and error is best in this hobby. Good luck
