I just found the trailer below for $125….it’s been garage kept and never even seen the road.

Now my question is….is this too small of a trailer? I am not looking to do a huge build but I would definitely like enough surface area to possibly smoke a pig or lamb in the future.

I want to build a reverse smoker using either a propane or water tank but I’m not sure how big I will need to purchase yet (I have no clue about there sizes). I’m guessing 100 gallon?

Thanks in advance for any answers. I mainly want to start by getting the trailer and moving on from there but I just want to make sure this will be sufficient enough for my plans.

If its only a 100 gallon tank that your going to use then that trailer should be fine. If you going to be using something larger im sure it would hold it but I wouldnt want to pull a big tank on that little trailer. Also do you want a bigger trailer so you can put more stuff on it?

that is the only trailer i would be looking for. i mainly just want to have access to take it to big parties at families so just the rig with some shelving around the outside would be on it.

and do you think 100-125 gallon tank is about the size im looking for from my description above?

it may be a couple days until i get back to this thread but tx so much in advance....i got the guy holding the trailer for me in the meantime.

off on my adventure for first day of trout, ill check back on this thread monday

How much meat do you want to cook at 1 time is the big question.

Just to give you an idea of weight. I just had a smoker built. The cooking chamber is 48" X 24" 1/4" steel and the fire box is 20" X 20" 5/16" steel. So an overall length of about 6' and diameter of around 2' and the weight was around 750lbs.

IMO you've got the cart (no pun intended) before the horse....Suggest you locate and buy the size tank you want/need before deciding on a trailer. Buy a trailer to fit your tank...not the other way around....The deck on that trailer is 48" X 40" ... less then 4 foot square...which seems really small to me.....

i had to check the responses one more time before i hit the road and there much appreciated.

i agree it would be best to get the size tank i want first....its a build i wanted to do over the winter anyway (unless i found everything really fast and cheap).

thanks so much for the responses and ill revive this thread hopefully shortly with some pics of the tank i select. have a great weekend all
