Hi all,

I'm located in NorthEastern Ohio and just picked up a Chargriller Pro this past weekend. I've been pretty hooked on bbq'n and lightly smoking for awhile, but this is the first time I've had a grill where it SHOULD be possible. In the past, I used a 22" weber and indirectly cooked with a water pan in the bottom, but that doesn't really constitute smoking.

I signed up for the eCourse on smoking and hope to learn a thing or two. I looked around this site over the past few days and it seems like a great resource.

Thanks. We just moved to Kent at the beginning of the year. I have a birthday coming up for my son here in a couple weeks and I'm hoping to give my new grill a little workout.

I saw that quite a few people talk up the Wicked Baked Beans, so I'm going to give those a try too.

Do you know if anyone on here enters any of the BBQ competitions in the area? I'm a long way off from there and don't really have the equipment to do it now, but it's something I would like to get into in the future.

First off welcome Devin to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.
