The weather has been exceptionally nice here the past few days and since I have today off I figured I would fire up the Egg and do a little cooking.
The sky to the east... sun coming up... (just cut the grass yesterday)

2 Naked Fatties,
2 rack of spares and the trimmings, dusted with Bone Sucking Rub
1 CAB Chuck roast with Dizzy Pig Cow Lick rub...
All over RO lump and cherry

Probably should have checked with the weather man....

The sky to the west....

This could be a LONG day....

lol Ellymae...
backyard view is beautiful! your qview is awesome... that storm looks like one that will be windy, rainy and nasty...but will then leave as fast as it got there; hopefully not a "settle in for a while" front!!!
good luck!

Good looking eats! We're just beginning to see some green around here. It looks like you may get your lawn watered today whether you wanted to or not.

Yes Ellymae the weather would have been a good thing to find out about but. You will have to ruff it now you are committed to the smoke. I would worry for it will probably blow over. But you sure do have either alot of land or something but you have a beautiful view out the back of the house. But looking at that smoker full of good stuff I would dawn the rain slicker suit and go for it rain or no rain.

Wishing for great weather for your smoke for you! That is a beautiful view and the qview aint bad either, LoL! That is one nicely loaded smoker, cant wait to see the results!

Hopefully the storm will pass you by, and not dampen your smoking adventure. Now that is one filled egg, I thought my kids got some filled eggs on Sunday, but you surpassed them

Just pulled and foiled them - they and the rib trimmings are hanging out in the cooler....

The chuckie is at 157 degrees...

Thanks for the kind words guys - the rain blew through pretty quickly - a little thunder, some showers, now it's 82 and sunny. Was just on the deck working on my tan...

We have 3 acres off the road. The view out the back is beautiful - there is a house behind us (that you can see in the photo) and they own 30 acres, most of it behind us is woods. We like to sit out on the deck in the evenings and listen to and watch the birds, or watch the deer come out into the field. The funny thing is they don't seem to mind my dog, and she pays them no mind....

The chuckie is resting - will be in tacos later this week. Not the greatest picture.

Al wanted the ribs sauced so I threw them back on the Egg and added some sauce.

Sliced them up - not the meatiest ribs I have had, over cooked them a bit but still pretty tasty.

I still say

to you for your smoke. Tanning on the deck again, eh? Now I see how things work in PA. Beautiful qview of the sunrise & TBS with the dark clouds looming. It was if the BGE was shaking it's mighty oval at the weather saying, "Come on. Try me, I dare ya." Glad things worked out for you.

VERY NICE smoke!!! Nice yard and weather, too! Green grass? Mowed yesterday?!?!?! LOLOL!!!!!!

Man we've been getting pounded with snow for the past 2 weeks...about 6" of fresh wet heavy crud on the ground right now, and still coming down.

Way to rock with the BGE, ellymae!!!

Eric

You can keep the snow! They are calling for 90 degrees here tomorrow - a little too hot for April...

That is one great looking smoke Ellymae. I love that bone sucking rub and their sauce too. I like the hot version but seem to remember you have an issue with some folks not liking the heat ( If I remember correctly you called them wimps LOL)

Thanks. If I called anyone a whimp then I need to group myself in there too - some days I can take the heat, other days I can't. I go through phases.
