My new Smoke Hollow 38 inch propane exhibited the temp regulation issues reported by others. My first smoke worked well, but I was on the edge of being too hot with the burner control cranked to low.
I contacted Outdoor Leisure Products via a webform Monday morning. They responded within thirty minutes, and the very next morning a new regulator assembly arrived at my house. It took five minutes to swap it out. I have a nice range of flame now, with the "normal" amount of blue.
I am looking forward to doing some more spareribs this weekend!

Great post on Smoke Hollow. I have a 34" smoker and love it. The door thermo is about 50 degrees off though. :( So not sure if they'll replace it.

My regulator seems to be doing ok. I smoked ribs this past weekend and it held a nice 230-240 all 6 hours. Half that time with the damper closed too.

I checked my door thermometer in boiling water and it read 208F. Pretty close to expected value for 1350 feet above sea level.
