Wish me luck!!!

Was up at 4am and fired up my smoker. Today is the day I finally take the plunge and smoke my first brisket. Yesterday at noon I pulled it out of the package and put Famous Daves Rib Rub on it, wrapped it back up and put it back in the fridge.

I'm pretty nervous. I really want this to turn out good! I have not become "one" with my MES yet, so I hope this brisket will bring us closer together.icon_wink.gif

This site has been tremendously helpful. Learned alot in the past week. I'll try and get some qview up. Workin on tryin to figure that out.

Thank you everyone

Good luck with the brisket smoke. Patience is the key. Don't let the stall fool you. Keep us posted. icon_smile.gif

You'll do fine. Brisket isn't as big a mystery as you may think. It just takes longer than some other cuts. We'll be waiting for the pics.

Listen to 3montes and just be patient. Pull it when it is tender (around 190). Good Luck.

The ABTs were a hit and the brisket was good too but I think it could have been alot more tender. Lessons learned.
