Since it was gonna rain all day today, I decided to fire up the drum and make some grub. I had a chucky in the freezer and a pork shoulder so why not? I couldn'd find my camera this morning so no post with prep qview.

However, I did locate it and got a shot before the panning began..
Here's the chuck just coming out of the stall with the shoulder in the rear..

The chuck has been rested and pulled..

The shoulder is still in the drum.. I'm gonna render it just a little while longer.. maybe to 200 or so.. I have some good bone showing right now at 193..

you and I both Pete,my desert sure is green for now. the meats looking real good my friend.

Tell me about green! I took the dog out to a large stock tank to do some duck training. I have never seen the desert so green in all my 37 years here.. Sure is nice to get out in it and do some walking this time of year..

I re-stabbed the probe after doing a pull test and found the shoulder to be at 184. Looks like I have a ways to go. I'm at nine hours right now.. Thanx for viewing and the compliments..

Looking good and keep that rain I've had enough for awhile
