These Oak stave's smell awesome !
A few months ago I made a trade with a buddy that works for one of the local wineries. I ended up with a truck load of stave's, they 2"wide x 1/4''thick x 40''long,red wine soaked Engish white oak.

I would be willing to trade for any fruit wood or almond or pecan.
if anyone is interested, give me a shout.
Thanks.
Dan

I am willing to throw my hat in this exchange....it all depends on timing for me. My work schedule is working on getting nuts again. Let me know via PM if you can

I have some of these from a winery here in Cali and I will say they are great for smoking.

forktender, i am afraid we have no native wood up here that would be great for smoking. mostly cottonwood. but i would be glad to pay for postage if you have any spare staves to send up. if interested, send a PM.

I've got pecan, would love to exchange some for some wine barrel oak. Shoot me a PM with your address and I'll pack you up a box. How much would you like?

Jeff

I will go to the post office in the morning to grab a few of large US priority boxes. Then we can exchange address's .
OK just so everyone is on the same page this wood is a flavoring wood only it's not thick enough to be a fuel wood.
I just smoked up some baby backs last night......sorry I didn't take Que view.
I used this Oak and a few pieces of green apple wood I cut last year.
My wife is a skinny little thing, that normally eats like a bird. I know I have a good smoke when she's asking for seconds and nibbling while she is doing the dishes.

Thanks a bunch
Dan
Concord CA.

PS.
TasunkaWitko, I'll get a box up to you I think the priority postage is like $14.00
I'll find out Monday morning , I'd rather do some sort of trade though !

Maybe you have a local BBQ sauce or rub or some local maple or berry syrup or some local jam or honey you can toss in to sweeten the deal......There has to be something you can only get locally to sweeten the deal.Nothing fancey just a little somthin !
Or a ranch I can come up and kill a Elk on..........lol

hey, fork -

we do have a couple of local things including a seasoning mix that is, in my mind, out of this world. between that and a few other things, i bet i could come up with a fair trade!

Dan,
I may not have any fruit wood to trade but I could get you some of our locally famous "Dinosaur Bar B Que" sauce & some of my homemade "Bikini Bar B Que" sauce to trade for some of those staves you have. Let me know.
Thx,
Scott

Sorry I haven't got back to all of you yet.
I've been sick all week, and haven't gone down to the post office yet.
Sorry these trades will happen, just give me a few days please.
Thank you.
Dan

Some hard times have hit our household.
At this time I can not afford to ship out any wood,I'm sorry !
Dan

Thanks SOB .
Things have been tight ever since this damn neck injury, but thanks to CA Workman's comp. things are beyond tight .
It's criminal the way they treat people injured on the job out here in CA.
