Anyone have experience with using a BBQ Guru - CyberQ - on a Char Griller Smokin Pro w/SFB? If so, where did you place the adapter for the Viper 10CFM fan?

Pics?

Thanks,

Ted

I have the same question, I did talk to a person where I live and he swears by it, well worth the money, his monitor can control the temps, and can monitor the temp of the meat from it, he showed it to me, it attaches to his smoker with a small hole maybe one to two inch hole the fan is installed over the hole, this is his only intake on his unit.

I purchased a BBQ Guru DigiQ DX for my chargriller and WSM. I have the Super Pro with the side fire box. What I did is went to Walmart and bought a metal dog food bowl. I think it was about a buck. Take a hole saw and dril a hole the same size of the adapter through the bottom of the bowl. drill another small hole in the corner of the dish so you can take a bolt and wing nut and install it over the air vent. Tighten the wing nut to keep the bowl tightly against the sfb vent. This is much better than drilling a hole in your sfb.

icemanrrc, i would love to see some pics of how you rigged that up. can you still pull the drawer & dump ash during a long cook?

I love the idea of the dog bowl.  I have been looking at the guru and i think thats what im gonna do.  Thanks
