Hello everyone I am new to BBQ been doing it backyard style but decided to get a team together and do some competitions. Did one last year and had a blast always interested in sharing what I have learned and hearing form others about their experiences and recipes to try. Look forward to bring some of my experience to the table and talking with all of you.

Thanks

Justin

Welcome to SMF! I remember many fine trout and camping weekends at Roaring River. We had a cabin on Pomme for many years till we moved south. Glad to have ya.

Hello Justin and welcome to SMF - glad to have you here with us

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Nice man cave btw mballi3011

ShooterRick: yea it is nice living about 20 min from the river...trout season opens Monday so I am going next week after all the crazies are out of there and you can actually cast.

I signed up for the online q class and hope to get something out of it and the rest of my team also. Right now I am planning on selling my current smoker and building a reverse flow with some "convection" plates or some call them tuning plates.

I will get some photos uploaded to Photobucket at some point and get them posted on here. The smoker is currently on CraigsList...not much to look at but has been great and won my team some money for being consistent.

Justin

Hello Justin, and welcome to the SMF. I'm sure there are folks here who would like to read of some of your comp. experiences.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. Here are some pictures of my current rig I am trying to sell on a couple of other BBQ sites and craigslist.

I use to have nice shinny wheels but someone jacked them off it.
Enjoy...btw that smoker is only 1/2 full of grub.
