afternoon trip to ScAMS CLUB turns into this

We spent $150ish on meat at the local SCAMS CLUB and threw the three pack of spares on the electric ECB.

i didnt use any liquid in the pan to help keep the heat up since it was about 25F and kinda windy on the deck

they just came off. i 321 em and ran them up to about 185 just to see how they would turn out. I have them under foil and towels and plan on having them to breakfast.

well I worked in the meat dept @ Sams for two years when i was in college. lets just say ive got some insider info on the joint. lol

Like what? That's where I prefer to buy my beef steak when it gets marked down. They have good tenderloin and ribeyes, awesome marbling and both cut thicker than anywhere I ever see.

Those ribs look good, though.

Sams club isnt that bad scamming people. i cant say too much other than the meat dept does have the highest mark up in the store and if you watch for sales in other places you can get the same price per (lbs. oz. gal. ect) without buying in bulk.

the reasons i do still shop there
gas is always cheaper,
meat quality is better for the price
and if you talk to the cutters they will cut just about whatever you want,
just dont try it on Saturday afternoon or if its after 6pm.

Well I scolled all the way down. I did see the ribs look great but I was expecting that you would been taken by theSam's club but to find out that you worked there. Now you are saying that their meat is good quality but maybe alittle high priced I feel alot better knowing that I was getting good meat. Now I do go to many differant places to buy meat thou. Thanks for the info.

The ribs look great, and make my usual breakfast of bacon/eggs/toast seem pretty pathetic in comparison.

I'm guessing the ScAM'S CLUB reference is just the usual ragging on the ex-employer that everybody does.

Nice ecb! Reminds me of my set up a couple of years back. big red electric on the snow covered patio, wrapped in a blanket to keep it warm. Put out some very good bbq though.
