Found this at Walmart, for me the price and size was right. Not sure what grade of beef it is but it looks like a whole paker to me. What do ya'll think? FYI this is only the second brisket I have ever bought!

The left side is the point correct?

That's exactly what I buy from wally world...it is an untrimmed full packer.

Correct...the point is to the left on your pic...the heavy/thick part.

Good lookin' lil' piece to smoke, brother!

Yea the same as we get here at Sams and Walmart too and about the same price

I usually buy mine at Sam's...you may have to ask someone behind the counter to bring a packer out for you...they get grabbed up from the cooler pretty fast in our area, it seems.

Also, ask them when their meat truck delivery day is...that way you can avoid showing up the day before, when their stock is out/low...(been there)

Like rbranstner, I've only found flats at 2 of my Sam's stores. At one I asked for a full packer and the guy told me all they carried was what was in the case. He looked a few ribs shy of a full rack so next time I'm there, I'll ask someone else. At the 2nd store, no one was around to ask, so that'll be another trip too.

this is only the second brisket I have ever bought, the first was a CAB flat from Piggly Wiggly cost me $45.00. It turned out awesome. I just happened to find this one yesterday in Wally World. It was the only one they had out and figured what the heck, i'll give it a try!
