Howdy all! The name is Mitch. I just yesterday picked up my new Masterbuilt vert propane smokehouse (MBP)?? Looking forward to complement my fresh and semi-dry sausage making and also to refine and add to my yankee Q-skills.

Nutmeg State - must be next to the state of confusion! Welcome to SMF Mitch! Glad to have you with us. I've never done sausage, or should I say I havent tried sausage...yet. May need to call upon your knowledge. We all like pictures here, what we call Qview. Post anything and everything - no one will complain too loudly.

Welcome Mitch, This is one of the best sites around. Take the 5 day smoking course even if you have been smoking for awhile. Then purchase Jeff rub & sauce recipe, all the monies go back into site to help keep it up and running. I'm located in West Haven. Grandpajohn

Yes, Virginia there is a Nutmeg state... BUT it isn't my birth state.. I am from 6burgh, Pa. Born n raised.. Oh I'm sorry I meant to say Pittsburgh....
I came here in 1978 the day before the big blizzard to attend sub school while in the Navy. After that I picked up a boat here in New London until EOS. Worked as a submarine builder, married a local and had 2 daughters, divorced and remarried over in Russia (no mail order) LOL. Been a votech teacher for the last 18 years. I camp and fish, do jerky and make my own beer..... and waaste alot of time on MMO games.. LOL.

Anyhoo, thank all of you for the grand welcome. I do plan on picking up some rub and sauce tho and a bunch of Q-Intel.

Just before I wrote this I finished assembling the smoker (MBVERT-PROPANE)...Oh and I bought the smoke daddy middle sized one. Gonna plumb it to the MBP and the 7-1 for cold schmokin... Oh well thats who I am
