Gonna smoke some chicken leg quarters using the chicken rub I found online. (Man that rub smells good) once they are done, I baste it with some of my homemade sauce. I'll post the recipe to it later. Also gonna try and smoke some asparagus as well. Will finish it off with a baked potato and a nice salad.

Trying to do a Comp style chicken today for the first time. Prepped the leg quarters and took most of the fat off the underside of the skin then replaced the skin, holding it in place with toothpicks. (Please let me know if this is a comp no no.) coated the chicken with a very light coat of EVOO then added the rub all over and under the skin.

Qview to follow...

Looks great to me also..

Recipe?
The asparagus was awesome texture and taste wise, but the missus used too much garlic salt and I couldn't hardlly eat them because of the salt. (Note to self: Just add garlic, not garlic salt.)

Great looking meal! I'm with you on the garlic salt. Haven't had any in the house for 40 years. We use the granulated garlic (Tone's) from Sam's club. I like garlic way better than salt.
