Want to thank ronp for the heads up and everyone else for helping make my mind up.
Called around to 3 Sam's Club in order to find one and the one that the website said they didn't have did have 5 (did that make any sense?). Don't trust the website for you're local store.
Had to join Sam's but we did spend $400+ total anyway.
Haven't opened it up yet so am hoping it is the 1200w version. Funny it doesn't say it on the box. Did have the same item # tho. Black on the outside brushed silver on the glass door, Right??

Thanks again guys

Now it's time to practice, practice, practice.

I have done brisket and pork butt and ribs in mine, they are nice smokers

I'll be down there in a couple weeks, maybe I will see you when I'm there

Looks nice in my living room! I noticed there is a very tiny area in the door seal (right upper corner on the latch side) that doesn't completely seal....I am talking about 1/32 of an inch at the most. This is probably ok I would imagine, being that my vent is going to be open most of the time anyway. PDT_Armataz_01_05.gif

Only time i close the top vent on my MES is when i'm pre heating it.
Once the meat goes in and the smoke starts the vent stays full open.

Dave from Mesa, congrats on the new MES, you are among friends here since many are proud MES owners, and quick to lend a hand or info.

Keep us posted on your MES adventures.

It looks like folks really like the MES.

I saw a couple at my local Sam's club today, not sure of the model or wattage, but was silver and had glass in the door. $299.

Is this a good deal?
Yes it is, plus get the 3 year warrantee for 39.00.
Thanks. I now see there are several diff. threads with same topic.
Ther is alot of info on here!
Is the warranty from mes or sam's?
What goes wrong and is it a bumper to bumper warranty?

I got one on Mon and seasoned it yesterday. Was kind of painful since after seasoning it, it was too late to really cook anything. Have to wait until Sat. C'Mon weekend.
