Hia all...

I finally picked up my Traeger Texas the other day and I coudn't be any more happier with it. I have cooked several delicious meals including piza on it and the flavor is exactly great and the ease of use is amazing. Tonight we enjoyed my first pulled pork attempt on the Traeger. We had a family emergency in the evening and I had to leave to head to the hospital for a couple hours. When I returned the fire was burning, temp was exactly where it should be and the meat was one hour from being done. It turned out great! My GOSM would have burned up the wood, water and got too hot. Hope you enjoy the video....

Yepper that looked really easy on that traeger all right. I tcame out looking fabulous and awful tender to just like in the movies.

Wingman is that your video? If so pretty amazing stuff, everything looked great.

I did notice that every time the hatch was opened there was no smoke, I watched the vent too and barely saw any smoke. Maybe that is a preference by whoever was cooking.

Anyway you have a wonderful Q cooking tool in that traeger.

Yes thats my video deltadude... I started on smoke for 1.5 hours then went to 225 the rest of the cooking time. While cooking at 225 I noticed there was less smoke then my GOSM but it was constant where my GOSM would lay it on thick at first then dwindle down. I figured... Well what mattered was the flavor at the end of the proces and it was amazing. Great smoke ring. In fact the end tips that were 1" thick were almost completely pink.

I'm a big time Traeger rookie so if you are a Traeger owner and have any tips... Fire away! I'm always open to suggestions.

This morning we are baking biscuits on the Traeger...

WOW!!!! That looks great! Great video as well. I bet your neighbors don't appreciate you forcing them to inhale your smoke...

I also noticed a few pieces of pork not making it to the serving dish
