Hushpuppies

I'm looking for a recipe for the kind of hushpuppies they serve on the ocean side of North Carolina, i.e. "Bettys" around Holden Beach and in most places I've eaten around Calabsh. The are rolled kinda oblong and are very sweet. I would be most grateful for and help because this will make my wife very happy!
